why my DA integra cooling fan doesn't switch on??? anybody help.
Here's the situation....
Overheating problems are occuring with stop and go. I have narrowed it down to the cooling fan not coming on. -- I unplugged the cooling fan and wired it directly to battery...so I know the FAN works... Any suggestions as to testing other things? I checked the fuses for cooling fan and cooling fan relay inside car fuse box... I have heard that maybe the cooling fan relay is no good....Where is that located??? Also, is there a test for the cooling fan switch which in my case is located on the thermostat housing (like newer teg's)? Please let me know guys. Thanks. |

Re: (97tegGS)
Problem fixed....
Thanks for all your help... It was a bad relay....... Jumped the cooling fan switched with a jumper wire to test...and relay was not clicking..... Took the relay off of my A/C..(which is now gone)....and she works again.... |

I'm also having problems. Tried paperclip trick and it worked. Thing is car doesn't overheat ever. Could it be car just doesn't get hot enough for fan to turn on?

i had the same problem take it to a honda shop and they can wire it to whenever the ignition is on. that's what i did on mine and it's been running fine since. it doesn't do anything but when it's cold it just takes longer to heat up. woop dee freakin doo.

the problem with that is when you're on the highway, there is no need for the fan to be on. i like it working the right way, for the fan to come on when its suppose to. no mickey mouse for me. |
i understand taht when highway it doesn't need to be on. but mines is never ever on. need to find out why. car never overheats either dunno what to do.
