what happens when the battery post touch the ecu?
one of my friends was driving my car and forgot to tie the batt down and the battery fell and the post touched the ecu. now my car is starting to over heat and the batt gauge is always going low what could i do to make it stop doing that or what happend

The ECU is located in the cabin of the car. Are you sure that the battery contacted that?

was your battery inside the car? because unless you were in an accident so bad that the battery fell through the firewall and disconnected from the cables, THEN happened to hit your ECU (engine control unit), but if that happened i think the last thing you'd have to worry about is your car overheating

sorry, but if its a track car. shouldnt the battery always be tied down? i dont see why you would have the battery just lying on the floor like that. When the battery touched the ecu did it arc?

If it is a true track car you need to have it in a battery box, and most peopl move it to the back to help with weight distrubation.
