Default unstable steering

i've only driven the integra a few times on the highway but whenever i pass the 70 mph mark the steering wheel seems to gets unstable a little bit like you have to correct the wheel every minute or so to keep the car going straight. I heard this is normal but i'm not sure. Can someone shed some light on this and what I could improve/upgrade so everything can be more stable? thanks

I would check your tire pressure first of all. Then make sure you don't have any loose front end components (tie rod ends, ball joints, bushings, etc.) and have your alignment checked. I wouldn't call high speed instability normal, as mine is fine.

Yeah, start with ur Tire pressure, tie rod ends, ball joints, upper n lower control arm bushings, maybe sway-bar endlinks, everything that controls suspension on your car.

If its lowered its prob out of alignment, and you'll need a camber kit (more often than not) installed in order to do a proper alignment.

I hate alignments at work cuz half the cars that come in have been wrecked, and are impossible to get perfect.... gotta love frame shops!

I don't yet have a camber kit, and when my tires get worn on the inside edge, the steering gets highly unstable, and sensitive. The cornering is pretty good, but straight-line stability is non-existent. I am ordering a camber kit, as well as new wheels and tires with my next paycheck. I can't wait. But check your tire wear, and get it aligned, and inspect your suspension.

Check your alignment, and when my cv's were going bad i had a problem similar to that.
