A tight fit with my new headers
hello everyone! New to the scene, just installed my 1320 rmf headers, its a tight fit, just wondering about heat issues that builds up in the engine, car isnt running atm coz of the cat hasnt been installed yet, i will go to the muffler shop to get that fixed. any suggestions? It's going to melt the plastic fan shroud. I believe those headers require you to run a thin fan instead of the stock one.

Technically, you should heat wrap the header to keep under good temps down. Warm air gives u better gas mileage, but less power. (Not much, but it's real) You really only need to wrap the manifold, it's not as necessary under the oil pan since air flows freely under the car. With your oversized pipes, you'll likely need a low profile fan, or perhaps just shave the shroud?
You can see the wrap, it uses stainless steel bands to hold in place. It's fiber glass, and should be installed with the manifold off the car lol.
