Thanks for sharing the dyno sheet iH8RICERZ. Good for additional comparisons. With your chipped ecu we made similar power but you have way more torque. The few changes you made when you got 205whp seem pretty good for such little change. High flow cat must do pretty well compared to the jdm 2.5 cat and the header is probably where the biggest gains came from. I might have to consider that a future upgrade over my jdm 4-1. I chose it specifically to keep it stock in appearance so we'll see. Cant wait to see what the graph looks like after my manifold swap.

The clearance and gains were the big selling points on the rmf replica... also, the guy who tuned my car put a v-stack at the end of my intake for ***** and giggles but the car made 4whp right off the back. Went out and bought one the next day. lol I don't think it was the highflow cat that made the big difference, I think it was getting a good flowing header and cat and fixing all my exhaust leaks that did it.

Yea the leaks will probably hinder the most performance first off. I considered a high flow cat but didnt consider it something that would be a big change from the jdm cat. The headers i know can make a big difference though depending on setup and design of the header. I have a velocity stack too but 4whp? wow!

niiiiice! Im hoping to land somewhere around there after the new manifold/intake setup on s100. Considering the same toda rep header as a future upgrade too. For a replica it does more mid and top end then the jdm 4-1. Looks like your tuner was way off like we thought! Did you get any tuning done on the s100 or no tuning involved? Since i have no idea whats on my s100 or the basemap thats on the chip p28 i wont be running it til its time to tune.

yes, this is a tuned map on the s100...
1st pull on his basemap was 179 whp. so he started out pretty close!

I've been staring at both graphs for a few minutes now, your setup is making a bit more than my until about 6500rpms... interesting.

Thanks for the post.
Looking at your graph...youre making power past 8k with just header/exhaust?

this is a great thread .. i have a jdm b18c and i was wonder what my stock numbers should look like .. i kno the motor comes 180hp so i was guessing 155whp so im not far off .. i have jdm 4-1 headers, full 2 1/2 inch piping running to a greddy muffler, running on a spoon shipped p30 ecu (which i plan on tunning by month end) and i recently jus dropped on a modified p30 IM .. so im hoping i can make some near to the 170whp mark .. i have plans to put in itr pistons and later down the line a set of cams, blaxworks or skunk2 which ever the pocket can manage ..

but once again great thread thanks for info, when i run at the dyno ill be sure to post my results as well

Pretty bold statement, but also very possible. The dyno you posted SAE or STD graph?

My GSR isn't stock but has ITR pistons, the head is all ITR internals. With the current set-up I have yet to get to the dyno, street tuned only. The car runs faster than when it made 190/136, hope to see 200/140 now.

Glad for this post help me understand my traction issues two weeks ago at the drag strip. Back in '99~'01 I use to race all the time, about 100 passes each year. I got the car down to around 15 flat, with 2.1 60' on a stock suspension and I/H/E bolt ons.
This post was very helpful it telling me that I was basically at 155/115 power way back then. Much easier to tame. Now at nearly 50whp I have to learn to drive all over again. The tires spin all the way through 1st, part of 2nd and break loose going into 3rd.
Trapped 96+mph into a 10 mph headwind with all that spinning. Traction is a serious issue.

ur making alot of tq out of that motor for the small mods done .. i would have guessed that u would have had a higher hp figure tho .. what plans you got for future mods ?

mtflyboy-- youre making almost exactly what you should be for a stock gsr. Torque is fairly correct too, better than mine but you probably peak higher being catless.

graveltravel-- im glad you finally posted it. Our setups are almost identical but youre making a fair amount more power. Ill have to compare the graphs more closely later. That looks tuned, am i right? I also have had plans to acquire a toda header at some point as my final setup. That being the only difference, tune aside, i wonder if it made that much over the jdm 4-1. I think possible looking at budget header dyno thread. You dont seem to dip in hp til after 8k. Youre torque though id say ur motor is in better health than mine.

OH_1fstgsr-- Still cant wait to see your results. You havent tried street slicks or you already running those? Maybe time to use slicks?

Im glad people are still getting use out of this thread and also contributing. Hoping to see people follow up and post their graphs.

Right now there is no plan for slicks.
First change will be to lower my launch rpm from 4500rpm down to something more usable.
Second item will be traction bars.
Third drag radials.
Did I mention that I have an ITR trans that will be getting a 4.9FD to add to this car. Just what I need more traction issues.

This car makes about 120wtq at 2000 rpm and goes up to 140wtq between 4-5000rpm and stays above 130wtq untill 8500rpm. It's like I'm trying to learn how to drive it all over again.

Great info indeed NemesisCBR you know now that I recently dynoed my car I am reading alot more info on how modifications can help me gain in areas where I am lacking, but not just throwing on what is being used by popular demand...But actually researching what really works and Why it does as well.I know now from doing research along with alot of info from this thread as well that my engine is not as healthy as it should be, however i am not that far off to where it should be. Great stuff from everyone that has inputted and shared their graphs. While I'm here I will share mine : ) JDM B18C / DC 4-1 HEADER, SRI ,STOCK P72 ECU. APEXI DUNK MEGAPHONE EXHAUST 2.5 PIPING, CAT HOLLOW because my car blew it out lol.
