Steering Feels "Notchy"
i just replaced my clutch, and finished everything up, FINALLY. I had to also replace a tie-rod end...and now my power steering feels "notchy." When my car is parked and running, and I start to turn the wheel...it feels like there is no power steering. Then as I continue to turn the wheel, it feels like the power steering kicks in. But when that happens, the steering isn't smooth...it feels "notchy." I know I need an alignment bad, but I don't think that is the problem.
What could be causing this???

Re: Steering Feels "Notchy" (kevbatch)
Did it have the problem before you did the clutch job?
Did you have to beat the tie rod end to get it out?
Sounds like there is something up with the rack, or the pump. Have you checked the PS fluid level? You could try to replace the PS fluid, or even try to bleed the system.
We need more info to help you, bro.
