Slight grinding noise with slight throttle in 1st and 2nd

Grinding noise with Slight Throttle
I had a mechanic flush my tranny fluid and had them fill it up with pennzoil synchromesh. A month later I hear a grinding type of noise (kind of like the sound the tranny makes when you go in reverse) in 2nd gear with slight throttle. Can it be that i'm low on transmission fluid?

dont get me wrong, but the way you described it, it sounds like you filled it up with syncromesh, then had the mechanic flush it out meaning you have no fluid in your tranny. and now youre noticing you have problems. is this right?
anyways, i had this problem with my GM van, it would grind when it shifted between gears. It was because of low transmission fluid so i filled it back up and the problem was gone.

I have a similar prob. In the morning the tranny shifts real smooth with no grinds but driving a few mins and begin to shift in between the gears my 3rd and sometimes my 4th will have a grind. would adding the GM sycromesh fluid help or no? I was begining to think it was my clutch but I'm not sure

yes, Syncromesh fluid will help alleviate the problem, but you should really take it in and have a mechanic fix the problem. I had slight grinds in my old d16z6 transmission and the shifter felt notchy. After adding syncromesh, the shifter felt like a knife through hot butter, it was SMOOOOTH.

Syncromesh helps a lot. If you double clutch it wont grind. and thats free.
