Man when it comes to trannys your asking a big question! You want to accelerate fast get a lsd and a higher final drive with the s8o gsr tranny if your gonna boost! im boosting 5psi on this tranny set up, its gsr trans., m-factory 1'st gear, m-factory 4.9 final drive, quaife lsd its a awsome combo for my jrsc the gear ratio is great with boost! 1st gear tops off at 39 mph and 5th tops at 170mph well thats as far as i taken it lol..

so S80 be the best for me.,aint got the money for the 4.9FD yet chilling with 4.0FD for now and how come most people will trade their GSR tranny for short gear Si tranny in a heart beat?

Cause most into being allmotor need to accelerate faster off the line so with the b16 tranny the gears are shorter and the jdm ones come with a lsd! thus accelerating faster but there top speed is shorter so on the freeway they will run out of speed in 5th gear this is why its not favored when the motor is f.i you will be shifting to fast and not able to boost long in each gear this is why gsr gears are favored cause with boost its better to have longer gear ratio's, many people do custom gears or change the final drive to accelerate faster.

When i was all motor pushing 216hp on a stock tranny/stg 3 clutch just from adding the quafe lsd, m-factory 1st gear and 4.9 final drive it felt like i added 10 hp! it accelerated so much more faster it was great! then when i supperchared the n.a motor it really accelerated like crazy with the tranny setup. i think the 4.9 fd makes a night and day diffrence.
