S2000 dash cluster in an Integra
I'd just like to share my latest modification to my Honda Integra SiR-G. An S2000 digi speedo :D Mark Lamond suggested a while back he should be able to convert a S2000 cluster to work in previous generation Hondas, on that basis knowing Mark generally achieves what he sets out to do I bought an S2000 cluster to fit to my Integra and working with Mark we established what wires would link to what wire in my particular application.
Mark then did the real work creating the hardware to modify VSS units and standard fuel and temp sensors to work with the s2000 unit and allow modification (through a RS232 serial connector) to calibrate the readout. When i received the unit back from Mark I was pleased to see he had even changed the redline to start at 8k aswell as the other changes he makes, a nice touch and much better for my B18C.

The unit was fitted intime for the Castle Combe Performance Action day, I was a little apprehensive of how well the update would work on a circuit, also with the swing of a analogue needle you can gauge acceleration rate pretty well. However, i was suprised how well it kept me informed, the rev bar is very clear and the speedo refreshs at a very nice rate, I found i could read speeds much quicker such that i was aware of corner exit speeds without purposely looking down to see.
Big thanks to Mark for the development on this
I have the dual gauge surround for a this project which i plan to work on to fit around the unit and install my SPA dual oil gauge when i get round too it. So far its pretty readable in all lights but i may extend the surround to shield it from as much light as i can as the dc2 dash lets a fair amount of light onto the cluster face and at some angles i can just see the reflection of the windscreen/sky.
Looks awesome at night too.

So all of the indicator lamps work properly?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Thats the easy part, everything works as it should. KPH/MPH switch, brightness adjust, although i need to add a wire for that to have a memory after ignition off. Brake, door and boot (trunk) and all the trip functions.
Cheers

Re: (PatrickGSR94)
Thats whats Ive also done.
My car had been imported from Japan and hence had been running in KPH mode , only briefly was it running MPH as i took the VSS convertor off due to it effecting the ECU reading and hence the gear trim.
So it was 123k KM, Mark when he converted the cluster also reprogrammed the mileage to a figure in miles.

Re: S2000 dash cluster in an Integra (Nicks95GSR)
I wanted to do this, but it seems like A LOT of work and money to convert this cluster to make it work properly in the DC. The converters are not cheap either....if I can find an s2k cluster for a good deal, I might consider doing this mod in the future LOOKS DOPE though!

Re: S2000 dash cluster in an Integra (iH8RICERZ)
Hello,
A guy called Mark Lamond here in the UK converted my S2000 dash, hes got one running in his EF CRX SiR. Mark and I worked through the OBD2 Integra wiring and components to understand what was needed for fitting it to my application.
It basically has all the conversion stuff on a board inside the s2000 unit and hes even made the redline at 8k. Then some sort of micro setup with the hardware and a phono type jack in the back of the unit is where I can connect a R232 serial cable to program the calibrations for fuel and temp, basically consist of a offset so you can move your centre point around which for temp would be the operating temperture and the a coarseness to it to give you the desired resolution.
Big thanks to Mark to all the effort hes put into this project. It really functions as OEM, the dashwires you see there are 100% factory fit all ive done it crimped on new terminals where the std teg plugs were. Easy enough to convert back aswell.
Ill just say the cost is no where near what ive seen some people spend on some threads for what are not even finished projects.
