I tried many times to adjust it different ways but its not helping

when I push open button it moves back a notch and gets stuck on the back edge and wont slide up
I have to push it up with my hand to get it to go and then it opens all the way

the motor seems to be working fine I just cant figure out why I cant adjust the glass where it slides past the rear edge

Without visually seeing how your sunroof looks in the fully closed position, how far it goes up when it gets stuck, and how it returns to the fully closed position, it's hard to suggest a way to fix your issue. It could be an incorrect adjustment, worn out motor, or a broken lifter.

When my sunroof was getting stuck I pulled the headliner, removed the sunroof assembly, then dissassembled the whole thing, cleaned it, regreased the moving parts, and haven't had any problems besides a slight shudder since then. It was a massive pain in the *** but it seems to have worked pretty well.

I reused the plastic "feet" that sit in the slider rails rather than replacing them as I probably should have. They were worn a bit which allows the brackets to rock back and forth ever so slightly which causes it to lurch a bit.

If I ever do it again I'll probably try to replace the feet with rollers.

I'm not driving the car now its parked

the sunroof moves slightly towards the back. and gets stuck on the rear edge before the sunroof clears the edge of the opening I donno how else to explain it

I adjusted it to different positions. it doesn't matter what position its in it still get stuck on the back edge of the sunroof opening

When you say you adjust it, you mean with the 6 hex bolts that hold the glass panel in, right?

yep that's all I know how to adjust.
I tried different positions and none worked it stops or its crooked and doesn't seal all around
is there anything else needs to be adjusted?
it seems like its moving back before it goes up


it moves back few mm then it tries to lift the back edge and then slide back all the way

I always thought that it supposed to go up first then slide back

Clean off the sunroof tracks and add new grease to them before trying to adjust with the above instructions. Sometimes the old grease causes the lifter to stick.

Wait...are you opening your sunroof with the engine running or just with the ignition switch on?
