Reverse switch and transmission range codes on manual trans?

Reverse switch and transmission range codes on manual trans?
Hi everyone. I just bought a 2001 teggy, that had an engine swap from a 98 teggy. I pulled codes today, and got a reverse switch circuit range/performance code, and also a transmission range switch, ATP RVS switch code. To me these sound like codes for an automatic trans, but my trans is manual. Can anyone shed some light on this please? Thanks, and I'm happy to be here. Love the site.

What ECU/ECM do you have?
What are the code numbers? 94

The only numbers the scanner gave me were 65 - 02, which I believe are heater circuit o2 sensor codes. It did not give me numbers for the trans codes (as odd as that sounds). It was like code 1...2...3...4. Just the o2 sensor codes. I don't know what ecu is in it, but I'm guessing it could have been swapped when the engine was swapped. Isn't 98 OBD II A, and 01 is OBD II B? Should I take a look at the ecu, and is there identification on it to tell me what it's out of? Thanks. Ok, I will see what ecu is in the car the next chance I get.

Ok, I looked at the ECU, and it's a KEIHIN ECU. The number is 37820-P75-A05. The last 3 digits tells me it's a manual trans ECU, because 0 means manual, and 5 means auto, right? So if I have a manual trans ECU, why am I getting these codes? Again, the scanner DID NOT give me numbers for these, just names. I don't know why, but maybe it's the scanner I used. I can see a reverse sensor on a manual trans, but a transmission range sensor, doesn't make sense to me. Does a manual trans have these sensors? I know I have to replace the O2 sensor for the check engine light to go out, but I don't know if these trans codes will set the light as well. Also, these trans codes were not on the first page of the scanner, where it gave me the 02 sensor code. I had to go into HONDA/ACURA permanent codes for this information, if that helps. I mean, are these trans codes actually codes? Please help.

I'm guessing they aren't even codes, and that's why the scanner didn't give me numbers for them. It was probably some honda jibberish info on the scanner. I bet when I fix the O2 sensor, that will be all she wrote for the engine light. I'll see.

there is no range sensor on a manual. the reverse switch isn't monitored by the ecu.
i would do it the old fashioned way with a paper clip and count the blinking CEL.

Ok, so I did the paperclip, and it only gave me one code. 65. This is for the secondary O2 sensor circuit. I guess I will disregard that transmission nonsense the scanner was trying to scare me with. I don't know what they were, but they were not DTCs. Thanks for all the help.
