Radiator Fan not coming on after A/C removal
The car is a 2000 Acura Integra GSR.
I stripped my A/C from my car last week and now my cooling fan and a/c fan do not come on.
All I did was remove the condenser, lines, compressor and evaporator.
I switched the relays all around to see if possibly a relay went out but that did not fix it. When I removed the relay for the cooling fan and jump pins 1 & 2 the fan comes on so I know the fan works.
The helms says to repair the open in the green wire between the fuse box in the engine bay to the a/c diode. But I don't think it has anything to do with an open wire but something has to be changed or fixed to make it work with the a/c parts out of the car.
I did put a jumper wire on the a/c plug that connects to the plug on the High pressure line and when I press the a/c button in the car, both fans come on.
Any ideas?

Re: Radiator Fan not coming on after A/C removal
How do you know the fans aren't coming on? Did you let it sit and idle for a long time (like an hour) to see if they come on? Mine take about that long after flushing and refilling my cooling system.
The fans normally don't run at all when you're driving since there's already air coming through the radiator. Sometimes if you've been driving, then sit for a few minutes idling they will come on if the coolant gets hot enough.

Re: Radiator Fan not coming on after A/C removal
I daily drive the car about 100-150 miles a day. No issue. I drove it from Nashville to Road Atlanta (4hr trip) with no issues on Friday. I did 2 days with NASA in HPDE 2 (70 degree weather) and it only started to over heat on the the very last lap of the 2nd day as I was cresting the the hill under Suzuki bridge and just pulled off into the pits. I then drove the car home back to Nashville and it was fine. The next day I drove it 150 miles for work and only about mid day when I nailed it getting on an on-ramp did it start to overheat and get to 3/4 hot. I eased off of it and turned the heat on and fresh and it went down. I later topped it off with some distilled water and let it run for about 10 minutes with the radiator cap off to get any air out. Since then which was tuesday, it has not overheated or gotten passed 1/2 way.
So I'm thinking either the radiator cap might be going bad or just a fluke case where some air got into the system.
I have not seen the fans come on at all.
