Default question about k20 swap

ok i called a local shop and ask for a quote on how much they would charge for a k20 swap needless to say he had no idea what i was talking about and asked me everything that would need to be swapped so of course i will not be takin it there but he did quote me at 2500+ does that sound right to you guys because to me that seems really steep???????????

that sounds about right, i asked around for that as well, and it was always over 2k for the full swap.

2k + the motor is fairly cheap actually but then ur gunna have to get it tuned and everything with kpro the good shops over here are charging 10k for the entire swap out the door

There a lot of places to take it to in your area. Tampa and Orlando have great shops.

is that $2500 for labor only or for the engine?

i would think that the $2,500 is just for the labor. if that includes parts, then i guess it missing the most important component, the MOTOR! haha shoot, even still i think the motor alone would be more than $2,500

not a bad price at all....considering there is quite extensive fabrication that is needed to complete the swap (wiring, shifter assembly, axles, etc)

That a really reasonable price for labor. It's the parts that kill ya on that swap. No need for and Fab work. Motor, tranny, ecu, axles, Hasport mounts(minor drilling), carcepts shifter box(if u want the interior to look stock),harness, wiring, axles, Intake, header, exhaust, and lots of other misc, Honda/Acura parts you need. Hasport can take care of most of the parallel, pain in the a$$, parts for you.
