obdI & obdII
What is the different between the engine of the obdI & obdII? ECU of obd I and OBDII? Execpt obd II is more environmental, why engine of obd I & obd II produce the same HP? Will it hurt the engine of Obd II if I use an OBD I ECU with conversion harness? Need some answer. THanks

Re: obdI & obdII (dayaftertomorrow)
well, first of all OBDII was designed with more sensors to monitor the excess gases that pollute and to better contain them. not to mention that OBDII has the diagnostic port to hook up a scan tool. OBDI was a more basic type of ecu which would flash codes and also had less sensors to read. i'm not sure why they produce the same power. about the OBDII to OBDI conv i have no idea

no it will not hurt your car to run an obd1 ecu on a obd2 motor. MANY people who have built obd2 motors will typically convert to an obd1 ecu mainly for tuning purposes. Converting to obd1 offers more options when it comes to tuning, ie. uberdata/hondata/crome/etc.

Re: obdI & obdII (iH8RICERZ)
I have a 2001 gsr with AEM cold air, old spoon header, spoon TB, mugen twin loop exhaust. I just bought a OBDI ecu. It is for daily driving and sometime on a track once for a while. Should I go hondata s300 or should I get one of the custom chip from you? Need some suggestion. THanks
