ls vtec https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
but theres no doubp that turbo is probably going to be faster and probably cheeper
but i dont think its going to be reliable unless u build it which then will cost more than a lsvtec

Well theres no doubt on whcih one will be faster.

You could probabaly peice together a kit for what it would cost you to build a nice Ls vtec. Im biased and I like to go fast so I'm going to say do a compression test/leakdown test if all is well, boost the shit out of it.

Besides I swear Ls's have 9 lives https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif

depending how good your compression test goes... i would say boost your motor and slap a turbo kit on that bad boy.

what are the compression numbers supposed to be on the b18a or b18b?

My motor was boosted before I bought it (mild setup) and I have been boosted for 7-8 months. My compression reads 165 all the way across.

Generally the average Ls will make around 170-175
