New Exhaust

I wanted to maybe get a new exhaust for my car, I want something really quite that sounds nice, I mean I dont really have a budget I dont know when I will get it but I was just wondering. I've been hearing a lot of good stuff about the Greddy SP2 and I wanted to see if anyone had pics of this exhaust on their cars. feel free to make any suggestions.

Re: New Exhaust (integra714)

there are a number of people with this exhaust...search for 'greddy sp2' in the archives and you'll find a number of good posts. i have the jdm version of this exhaust and i am really happy with it- deeper sound than stock, not loud at all. it actually sounds similar to stock while cruising and much meaner at WOT.

Re: New Exhaust (dFreezy)

i was thinking about this exhaust for my crx, but then i saw that a lot of people were unhappy with it falling apart, problems with the glasspack, etc. although these complaints i saw were for the regular sp and not the sp2, i don't know whether they were redisigned to avoid these problems or not, but i chose to go with something else.
the rs-r exmag is a popular choice to consider if you are looking for something quiet.

RS*R on my 98 GS-R vid

Review: Nice low tone exhaust. Very QUIET compared to other exhausts. At low RPMS it has a deeeeeep tone to it. Higher RPM's you can't really hear it that well. I love it though. Sounds pretty damn mean..

i would go with greddy evoII it has great profomance and sounds great...its what i have and it sounds bad ass... it only got raspy when i gutted my cat and got greddy greddy header...lol https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

TegRyder33 12-06-2004 07:08 AM

I like the RS*R as well but it looks tooo stock if ya know what I mean. I went with the Comptech sport axleback. To me its the perfect exhaust...far better than the RS*R I mean I'm sure if you buy an aftermarket exhuast you want to hear a difference and see a little change. If you want the deep (not even close to rcie) sound go with the comptech, it looks really sweet too,

Sorry for the pics being so far away, I'll get better onces up later today
REVIEW: The perfect exhuast if you want a deep performance sound around 2000-3000 RPM, a very quiet "cruising on the freeway" exhaust. Also doesnt get any attention from the police https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

c_rogue69 12-06-2004 07:58 AM

I like the apexi WS. It might not be as quiet as the RS*R or EvoII, but it has a nice sound to it.

But I like my nice and loud N1

If money truly isn't a problem for you, I'd say get a custom made Hytech catback. I've heard nothing but good things about their stuff.
Personally, I like the Fujitsubo RM-01a. Very lightweight, excellent fit and finish, unassuming tip, and beautiful high/low rpm tones.

Thanks a lot guys for all the suggestions and the pics, but I still really want to see pics of the Greddy SP2 on an integ or any other car. If you guys have any more suggestions keep them coming and if someone could show me pics of the SP2 I would really appreciate it

Being that you live in CA, I advise you not to get an exhaust that's very noticable in the back.

That's what cops look for. You should know that.

Else, you will get exhaust tickets which aren't fix-it tickets anymore. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emdgust.gif

I'm running open downpipe, read the sig, I had an E-cutout downpipe made. .
Because, have you ever heard a booosted teg with an ex-mag? It sounds stock, all you can hear are the tires burning lol

The rsr is really nice what is the cheapest any of you have gotten this exhaust for. And I still want to see pics of the SP2 on an integ.

Re: New Exhaust (integra714)

I want a new exhaust because I have piping that was done at a muffler shop and a magnaflow muffler and it is kinda loud so I want something quiet.

just take it back to them and have them add a resonator

when I bought my car it had that same set-up... i took it to a shop, had them add a resonator, that made me happy.

then I came across this for a great price
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...1/fd3af16d.jpg

I couldn't pass it up...
the RM-01a would be a good choice too

Re: New Exhaust (MugenB18)

Thats a good idea the resonator would help but I also want something that is stainless steel and that is mandle bent

Re: New Exhaust (integra714)

without question the RSR, if you live in Cali the cops will nap you for big shiny exhausts, RSR exmag is quite yet sounds awesome at full wale, and looks discrete, just as good quality as everyone else.

Is it me or does it look like it's installed crooked?

BTW: An exhaust like that here in SMOG-strict Cali will have cops pulling you over left and right. It's like asking, "One exhaust ticket please."

Re: New Exhaust (NightRider-gsR)

the mugen twinloop is a safe exhuast to run in cali. Small diameter tip and quiet exhaust = no tickets.
