Your boosted built motor will smoke his stock H2B! Unless he is hiding something by making that engine look completely stock lol Keep it up with the progress! I cant wait to see your engine in the car!

Looking good Dan. Autopower and Kirk racing both make decent street roll bars that would work well with a nice harness. I was looking into one myself actually but my budget hasn't allowed me to do so just yet

I hear ya on that, I also found a street system called "autoworks" seems like a good brand 2 me.

the street cage wont go in for awhile but atleast ive got some belts lol..

automatic seat belts are coming out right now, along with abs ground wires from rear drivers side tail light under the car etc etc.

starting to prime the bay also.
more and more parts to come further down the road..still in the tear down process lol.

HERES AN UPDATE THATS MUCH NEEDED:

drank too much beer to do anything during new years eve lol..

yesterday i went to town..

sorry pics are from my cell phone, when i get a good camera ill post up some real pics..

THIS IS WHAT I DID:

abs grounds from drivers side tail light to under the car is out and never going back in..

I attacked the headliner to find both good and bad things..

the good: the sunroof still works
the bad: the headliner had tears in it, and the stubborn rear view mirror would not come off, so since the headliner was already torn and i tore it more , well its junk its ok though, cus its less weight haha

drivers side headligt harness was re-soldered after being cut, and is currently finding its way through the door seam and up the fender wall..more updates on that later..

since there will be no rear seats, there no more " OH ****" handles or the brackets for it, fronts are staying in for time being.

the rest of the sound deadning was removed ( I dont care how loud the cabin is, ill either blast my dr. dre beats or ill listen to my engine rage
my fix to the dash rattling when there is no sound deadning..well thats my secret, jk jk, im using rubber bushings like ol' school motorcycles from the 70's have..there like little think donuts.

ANYONE HAVE AN ESTIMAE OF THE WIEGHT IVE LOST SO FAR FROM THIS LIST BELOW??.. im curious, maybe ill have to get the car to a truck weigh station lol
list of weight reduction thats out and not going back in ( until im fast enough for my liking haha)

1: abs pump, plugs ( all de-pinned), wiring from both chassis and engine harness, abs brain box from passenger side b-pillar
2: power steering pump, resevoir, and lines ( plugged rack)
3: a/c : pump, condensor, the **** in the box under the dash going into bay, lines, and dryer.
4: wiper blades ( front and rear) motors ( front and rear) wiring is retained since they may go in.
5: power seat belt tracks, wiring ( de-pined), factor seat belts front and rear, all brackets, used my makita to grind rear seat belt brackets out also..
6: no rear seats what so ever.
7: headliner (was ripped, broke it upon removal..damn rear view mirror!!
8: windshield washer fluid, pump, and line from bay to rear hatch
9: cruise control ( both motor and wiring from engine harness loom)
10: seat belt sensors de-pinned from cabin wiring...
11: all chassis plastics ( a-b-c pillar, side plastics from doors back, carpting)

I am going to retain the door trim, and dash lol.. maybe if im fast enough for my liking the side trim from b-pillar back will go back in but prob not.
looking into lexan windows for my rear corner windows and since my windshield is cracked and i, building for the track, the weekend, and sunny summer days I may put lexan up front..

the cage, im waiting on, anyone have a weight estimate on just a b-pillar back boltable cage vs a full 12 pt?

I most likely will be making my own cage ( yes correct measurements, welds, loactions for the plates and geometry will all be assesed..) i have my people lol..

and for the stuff i pulled make an OFFER GUYS ill sell it all really cheap rear seats, belts, abs, ps, a/c etc

since i want full pictures ill load em one at a time..lol

and i guess i pissed som sohc guys off with my comments towards this d-bag with a del sol by my houses thread..my responce : OH WELL, DOHC FTW OVER SOHC imo..
