F.I.T. Valve Question
Hey guys, I have a 91 Integra with a B20B and I reused the B18A1 intake manifold on the B20. I am wondering what would happen if I don't have any coolant running into the fit valve? The reason I ask is because it keeps on leaking and one of the fittings I have blocked already on it so it DOES have coolant running to it now but I want to totally disconnect the coolant hose going to it so that there is absolutely no coolant going to it and into it. Would I notice any changes in the way it runs when the engine is running or when it is warming up?

Re: F.I.T. Valve Question
it may stall on cold starts. the ect sensor will still inform the ecm of the engines temp. it will then adjust fuel accordingly. basically, you''l be getting a dump of fuel until the car warms up. the ecm doesn't adjust for the lack of a fitv. if you don't hold the idle manually, it may flood. i've been noticing this with mine in the colder weather
