Re: !!!Muffler Question!!! (NiNeDA9)
You can search this one. Twin loop designs (Mugen and Hytech) are quiet. The RSR is also quiet. I run the Mugen twin-loop.

Re: !!!Muffler Question!!! (Dogginator)
alrite....i was looking at the 60series flowmaster but i dont know if there is anything better out there
|
Re: !!!Muffler Question!!! (NiNeDA9)
You are probably looking for a DA. Nevermind my previous post, as it pertained to DCs.

just get a exhaust with a silencer
|
hmmm.
When I bought my GSR a couple weeks ago, it came with an Greddy EVO II exhaust. I'm trying to find something to replace it. It sounds great from 6-8k, but kinda drones below that. If I can sell the exhaust I will, because it just isn't what I want. |
Re: (pkxiong)
i was thinking about doing that but i would probably get better performance from the 60series flowmaster....my brother has one on his db8 its quiet during daily driving and sounds mean when he steps on it

Re: (poet_x)
i dont want something that sounds ricey...i want something more for performance but quiet

Dynomax SuperTurbo. Quiet and deep, almost as deep as a Magnaflow straight-thru but a lot quieter. 18"-22" resonator will help mellow it all out.

ES oval is only the muffler itself. If you run straight w/o a resonator, it won't matter. If the OP is using his stock resonator and such, I'd say ES oval would work. I used to have a 2.36" to an ES oval, sounded fine. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 1.8L_allmotormilitia »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">buddyclub spec 2 ! its real quiet trust me. </TD></TR></TABLE> lol mine was as loud as my RR with a slip on. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmileo.gif But the BC Spec II is as light as a feather, though! |

my mom heard me 5 blocks down hitting vtec with mine. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif |
Turbo muffler is the best way to go for quiet, i ran 2.25" pipe and turbo muffler of the cat with no resonator and its still pretty quiet, cant even hear it unless you get on it at high rpms even then you hear more of the intake, plus it looks stock so cops wont hassle you.

Re: !!!Muffler Question!!! (NiNeDA9)
depens if exhaust is stock. i got 2.5 inch pipe, no cat, and header. all muflers i tried were to raspy. if you still have cat the magnaflow has good sound and good flow. mostly depends on what you like

% should be docked for deliberate misguiding information.

Re: (Nihonjin.Desu)
I should be docked? what the hell did i do? i gave an opinion off personal experience that i am experiencing now, everyone else gave theres, how are you going to say im giving misleading information?, you havent heard my car, my shit is quiet as hell https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif .I prefer not having a ricey ass car so the cops dont mess with me everytime i drive down the block, plus turbo mufflers sound better than a fart can.

Re: !!!Muffler Question!!! (NiNeDA9)
Vibrant muffler is very quiet on my car, but its also turbo'd. Before it was turbo'd, the exhaust was very loud and I was using a canister muffler from ebay. After putting on the turbo, the sound was a lot quieter, but was more quiet after putting on the Vibrant muffler. Plus it looks stock with a nice deep tone.

It sounded sarcastic (no resonator), my apologies. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/embeer.gif |
Re: (Nihonjin.Desu)
guys, we drive hondas, in other peoples eyes we are ricers, no matter what our car sounds like... as for a good muffler that is quiet. I guess you could get the apexi ws universal muffler since its chambered and I heard it on youtube, quiet as hell... but,, you will need resonators in order to keep it at a quiet level.. hope that helped.

Re: (urquidezj)
