how exactly do i do this guys?? do i need to splice with parts from a vtec harness? im completely stumped im sure its not hard i just simply have no idea..

no it dont have to be wired for vtec. I am using my Ls harness and I just put in vtec wires. For the oil pressure sensor, vtec solenoid, and something else I forgot. Just plug them in the correct spots of your ecu

I highly recommend that you DO NOT use the VAFC method. With that method you just have your base fuel map. On VTEC ECUs they contain two seperate fuel maps.

yeah i know but from what ive read its called "one wire vtec" and supposedly its not as good.. id much rather have the p28 ecu which is made for vtec and has the dual maps.. then use the vafc to choose the cross over points only instead of running it completely. make sense?

Yeah id susgest using the clips, the way i am going to wire it is get the cllip for the knock sensor (P30) soleniod and sensor, run a wire from there to the ECU and get the clips that slip into the ECU. The hard part is finding the clips and and connectors. If anyone has any, LMK.

NO. this is why u use a p28 and not a p72. just buy an obd1 p28 and obd2-obd1 harness. ull be fine.

LS do not have knock sensors, the ones that do are GSR, TYPE R, B16...correct me if im wrong, but isn't it only the DOHC VTEC motors that have a knock sensor?

Re: ls/vtec wiring up vtec. help! (GWInquisitor14)
There is no knock sensor wire on a vafc. A p28 ecu has no knock sensor and neither does a b18b. So like stated earlier. Use an obd1 p28, get an obdII-obdI conversion harness have your computer reprogrammed, and run the 3 wires(or 4) that you'll need to not throw any check lights and have your sensors hooked up. Pretty easy stuff. I'm not sure if your chassis harness is set up for vtec or not. But your engine harness is not thats for sure.
