loose brake calipers??

ive had this rattle coming from my rear suspension since i did pads and rotors all the way around. ive narrowed it down to the brake area. i didnt put the metal clips back in when i replaced the brake pads so im pretty sure that is some of it but my other concern is my caliper feels loose. the slide bolts and the bracket bolts are both tight but i can visible move both rear calipers. if i smack any of the rear suspension arms with my hand i can hear the calipers rattling. this is driving me crazy because its very loud inside and out. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks will

did you strip the slider bolts? if you over torque the sliders then you can strip them and that would happen. also, those metal clips are there for a reason. you should replace them, lube them with some white lithium or copper paste anti-seize, lube the sliders, and see if that doesnt help.

im missing the clips because i mangled them getting them out because i assumed my new pads came with them but they didnt https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif actually i thought i did strip one of them but when i tightened it a little more it got nice and tight again.i guess id have to replace both calipers if they were stripped? ill take another look at the slider bolts tomorrow when its not raining. any other ideas??
