Lookin at GSR tomarrow, need some help!

I'm going to go check out a 1998 GSR w/ 42k miles, its cypress green, its $12,100. I wanna know what are some of the major things i should look for when buying an integra. You guys think this is a good deal?

I would run a carfax on it first then check it out. Also ask a HT member about how to read the vin and check if it's real. It should also have a Vtec engine and a 5 speed. It should have alloys. A sunroof and leather should mostlikely be there (popular GSR option)

What are the problem area's to look for? . It's at a pretty popular and well known dealership in this area, they specialize in imports. I haven't checked it out yet, going tomarrow, just wanted to know some like things to look for specifially in integra's. I know all the basic stuff, 8k redline on the cluster, engine, what the stock wheels look like, etc... i was saying like problem areas. sorry if i didn't specify that in the 1st post

MAKE SURE THE SHELL IS GOOD! I just picked up a dark green '98 GS-R and I didn't notice all the phuckin flaws it had until I got it home. Everything else was okay (clean interior, strong motor, etc.), but my car has freakin scratches all over, and wax or something dried on it so the paint is rough in spots, and each door has madd ripples like a ribbed condom. It looked hella clean when I bought it, and then I brought it home and wanted to puke. Good luck man, don't get bopped. I guess I really didn't since I got mine for $12k when the blue book lists it much higher.

I would try to bargain to 11.9k, depending on condition https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Drive it a lil hard. Take it to VTEC. Pop hood, check for leaks, spare tire, make sure all power features work. Etc...

best color IMHO https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif. maybe im just biased. good luck with the buy. Check maintenance records and what you need to service after buying, accident/theft history, etc.

pick up a dictionary "tomarrow" while you're at it.

make sure the AC blows cold air. Make sure there are no grinds when you shift. Try to feel the clutch if there are rough spots or abnormal sounds. Make sure that it has the twetters on the door panels( I think all GSR models came with that) Open the hood and make sure it has b18c printed on the block/tranny. Check for fram damage like bends, stress cracks, ect. RUN A CARFAX
