light rims
i know lots of peeps like to get the lighter rims, but quick question, how much would it really help, say from stock rims approx ~16lbs to the light rims everyone gets around ~12lbs. i mean does it help that much in acceleration?

it could, if u had light weight rims, along with lighweight calipers and rotors etc. like a weight savings option. like spoon calipers etc. ya know. might help acceleration. but i am not sure myself

Re: light rims (Sergei01)
reduceing unsprung weight will make a huge diff in the way your car accelerates and handles. Unsprung weight is everything attached to the ground. Wheels, rotors, struts, outboard breaks, all that stuff. Thats also why inverted shocks are the rage cus most of the shock is now on the sprung side of the equation and is no longer unsprung. If you wanna go with cheepie light rims get some speed masters, rota or 1996 stock gsr rims.
