itr strut bar....
 

just wondering if anyone knows if the itr front strut bar fit up to my 95 ls? or will i have to do any other modifications?

It will fit. The mounting studs will not be on your LS, so you will need to add bolts.

sorry if i'm telling you stuff you know. But you might want to firm up the back before the front. It will make your car handle better. Again if you have done this or know this sorry to state the obvious. If you didn't tho something you may want to look into

I am not sure where you got your information from. It is always better to make sure the front is stable before the back. Of course, both front and back are supposed to be tuned together, but if he is just looking for buying a strutbar, then it is definetly better to get one for the front before getting one for the back.


Back to the main topic, if your LS doesn't have the stud already, you may want to look for Neuspeed bar instead of ITR bar.

Pick up bolts from any hardware store that fit just perfectly in the holes of the strut bar bracket and that is 1" long. You'll need some flat washers too.

Notice my bolts. I think I bought 1.25" or 1.5" long bolts, but obviously a little too long.

You can buy the nut from dealer and then go to ACE to find matching bolt.

Maybe I'm just being anal, but I'd rather buy the bolts from the acura dealership if they still have them available. Something about automotive rated bolts as opposed to bolts you buy from ace hardware or home depot?

i work at a hardware store, and worked on my stock strut today, i used high strength bolts and stainless nuts and washers. the stock are 13mm and i put 1/2" in.

Unfortunately, you can't buy those bolts from Acura. The studs are welded to the strut tower.

If you bought yours brand new, it will cut with templates and rubber stripping for your strut covers.

For a fwd car you want to make it understeer less and oversteer more. Tightening the front without the back with make it understeer more, which is exactly what you don't want. Like you said it's best to do everything together, but i would have to say if i were to get one before the other to get the most performance it would be a rear sway bar. Assuming the car already has decent coilovers.

Really? That's odd.....when I added the front strut tower on my car way back when, my car felt as if it had more oversteer. I of course added everything else and all was gravy https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

strut bars don't really have an effect on understeer and oversteer...

Sway bars play a huge role in oversteer/understeer. Just adding a larger rear sway bar changes the handling of the car completely.
