Internals
Ok guys, I'm running a 95' GSR motor in my EG6 and I'm just wondering how much HP and Torque will I make if I go Type-R pistons, CTR intake cam, Type-R exhaust cam and Type-R springs and retainers.
And I know I have to get it tuned. |
Re: Internals (eG6 driver3)
Nobody really knows, your just gonna have to go get it dynoed https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
But my guess would be around 170-185 whp |
Re: Internals (Mcdc2)
Ohh ok then. What type of ECU should I use?
|
you'll probably want to get a basemap of a ITR then get it tuned, using CROME if on a budget , hondata https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif if ballin
|
Re: (vietxdragon)
So if I get an ITR ECU and chip that and also get it tuned I'll be good to go?
|
Re: (eG6 driver3)
no he is saying start with an ITR base map and then tune using a hondata ecu or crome

Re: (SleeperGSR)
https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif ohh ok my bad lol. I don't know if this is stupid question but my friend has a P30 ECU for sale and he's telling me to buy it and chip it after I get all my internals in, so will this also work?
|
i'm not sure on the P30 but search, and check if that is chippable. I think you can also check phearable.net ? But if it is chippable then, yes you can chip it and get it tuned
|
Re: (vietxdragon)
Ok sounds good. But then again I can use a Type-R one also am I correct?
|
Re: (eG6 driver3)
there is a difference between a chip and a tunable ECU. A chip is a pre programed map not specific for your car that changes the ecu. A tune programs the ECU specifically to your car and mods.

Re: (SleeperGSR)
you can use the ecu that you have now if you wanted. you would have to send it to be socketed and chipped w/ a base map for your car though. read:
