Looks like the engine is running rich for some reason. Or the cat is losing its efficiency. Probably not ignition related.

Yea, that's what some people have been telling me, there is too much fuel in the engine which isn't getting combusted, therefore having a spike in CO (running rich). Could be a number of problems...clogged cat, which will send wrong signal to MAP thus making the car use more gas. Maybe O2 are starting to go bad....

Was your car warmed up. I had a broken thermostat and almost failed in the same spots as you did.

but i thought the primary o2 sensor determined the feul map, the secondary on the o2 is there to make sure all unburned gas is burned thru the cat? Cause a catalyzer is supposed to burn all enviromentally harmful unburned gases right? So either your catalyzer is on its way out, on something air fuel related is dirty. You should move to north georiga, us rednecks aint got no emersions.

also, factory o2 sensors can only read voltage signals between a very small margin or band, then fail below and above it, its usaually like 9v to 13v???(hints a WIDEBAND o2 senosr being very vaulable to tuning) or something very small, any way make sure it really is a pricey o2 sensor before replacing it.

so it only has a primary o2 sensor at the end of the collectors, then how would your ecu know wether or not the cats bad?

assuming your gas milage hasnt dropped, id say its just the cat not burning unburned fuel.
