install shift boot help
 

im installing the type r shift boot and skunk 2 shift knob on my ls. I have the old shift boot off ( tore it off ) but i need to get under the plastic console in order to put the new boot in... how do u access to this area ??? snap it off ?? screws ?? do i have to take all of the consoles off down there ? process of instal would help greatly thanks

take ur whole console apart...ull get there.

You have to go at it from beneath the car, that should get you started.

you must remove the center console. the whole piece that covers the shift arear from the armrest to the dash. once thats out there will be two screws up near the cup holder side on the bottom. remove those and the trim can pop out the tp.. there will be two screws holding the shift boo/bracket into the trim piece. remove those and remove the shiftboot/bracket. there are two metal clips holding the side opposite the screw side in. so a screwdriver may come in handy. installation is reverse.
