Default Inner timing belt cover bent toward timing belt, grinding cam gear

I had found this problem a few years ago at 120k when I did a valve adjustment, and you guys told me there is nothing wrong with it because it is minor. It is the LS cover that doesn't have a loop around the cam loop, only has a semi-circular cut out.

I was worried and thought about replacing it the next time I do timing belt. Just bought a used valve cover on ebay and the one came with the same problem. The seller told me it happens on many B18 and in particular the LS, I am wondering if you guys have the same problem and do you just ignore it.

Yup, that thing between cam gear/timing belt and the short block itself.
