I'm going crazy w/Vtec or Vtech :)
Is it just me or do a lot of people posting on honda-tech spell vtec, vtech.......
after browsing throught honda-tech occasionally I always find a post with somebody saying vtech, and at first I was like well maybe they don't have a lot of knowledge on honda motors, but I see it so often that it can't be that. maybe it's just a common mistake when the brain interprets it as we have prior learned to pronounce or spell.... such as like a technician being called a tech, not tec, so the mind interprets vtec as vtech, but for me it's like implanted in my brain that vtec is spelled vtec when referring to a honda motor w/vtec.

i've spelled it wrong once before... long day wasnt thinking... and i put vtek... man did i feel stupid... luckily i caught my self right as i typed it.
The guy i bought my car from spelled it vtech in the recyler ad. He also though vtec was always engaged. It was funny **** when i asked if he cared if i hit vtec and he told me "yes.. yes.. vtec mota... vtec mota" and well i guned it to 8K and he almost **** his pants... I dove around with him a cupple times before i bough it and he would never shift past 4K. I had a shop look at it and they told me it was the cleanest, unbeated 95GSR they have seen in a while... So i bought it.

I had the same type of thing happen to me when I bought my GSR. This uptight CPA had no idea what he had for a car. The thing was spottless. He just drove it a few miles to work everyday and I doubt he had ever hit V-T-E-C.
