Just wondering how much gas I have left in the tank when the gas light comes on?

I'm talking about when it's fully on....no half on and half off when you lean your car to the right, etc.

for me usually 2-3 gallons. when the light goes on just fill it up until its full and subtract that number from the total capacity of the tank which is about 13.2, i think.

Good idea....never thought of that one.

I was getting nervous today. I left my wallet at my gf's house so I had to drive there and pick it up. But, I had already been driving for nearly two days with the light on.

Thats still a decent amount to find a gas station. When mine came on once I was freakin because I thought it was like a few minutes of gas left.

13.2 gallons is correct.... i dont like driving around with the dummy light blinking in my face, so i just fill up then and there. Its terrible for the motor to run completely out of gas! But the furthese i've gone on the dummy light has been 35 miles aprox

Running low on gas also puts more strain on your fuel pump. Keep it filled unless you are going to the track or something...
