custom integra headlights as foglights:

materials you need:

socket wrench with extension
wrench
bolts, nuts, washers
4 L shaped brackets and 2 straight brackets
94+ integra low beam headlights
9005 or 9006 sockets
electric tape
heat shrink
solder iron and solder
power saw
table vise
hammer ( if needed)
chisel ( if needed)
JB weld ( if you break anything)
silicon caulking
masking tape
hobby knife
hand saw
C-clamp (if needed)
*patience***

1: cut away the bumper area where you would usually put the stock raybrig foglights at with a hack saw. trim about 3mm off the corners where there are 2 holes for the stock foglights. do the same with the other side.

2: loosen the bolt for the horn on the passenger side and pivot the horn as far as u can over to the right side of the car. be sure not to pivot it too much or else the wire that connects to it will be feeling tension and you don't want to end up with a broken wire.

3: now on to the headlights. crack the plastic housing and remove the metal piece that contains the levelor, high beam and the low beam. use your power saw and saw off the high beam and the top corner on the other side of each projector in yellow is the side with the high beam which was sawed off. and the black lines are where the corners used to be. u have to saw those corners off to make room to fit it into the grill area. in red are edges that you have to file down to make a flat surface for the Lshaped brackets. ( i used a power saw to saw it off)

4: now is your time to test fit. the passenger side should have enough room in the back to fit the projector after you move the horn to the side. however, on the driver's side, the rods that run horizontal across the front of the radiator will be blocking the bulb socket once you have the bulb in the projector. in order to fix this. u will have to chip a little off the tabs on the bulb itself so you can fit it into the projector from a different angle that wouldnt interfere with the radiator rods. i used a wire clipper to chip it off.

NOTE: if you use 9005 bulbs, the angle might be different and might not require chipping the tabs. also if you take off the black plastic blacking that is bolted to the high beam by 3 screws and replace that with the one on the low beam, you might not have to modify the bulb.

i used 9006 bulbs becuz the rubber ring is the exact size in prevent water from getting in. ( didn't want to risk anything since its mounted so low).

5: drill holes into the side of the projector to mount the Lshaped brackets and straight bracket. this step requires a lot of trial and error. so it really depends on how you cut your projectors.

NOTE: you can also use the levelor that comes on the integra housings for your custom foglights. just remove them ( i believe they are attached by 1 or 2 screws) and just screw them down to one of the fins on the projectors. be sure to mask them before you caulk or paint. (shown in blue).

6: after your done and SURE THAT EVERYTHING FITS ONCE YOU BOLT IT ALL ON YOUR CAR, mask your lenses with masking tape. start with the bottom and work around as you go up. this helps prevent the paint from seeping through the cracks in the masking tape and get on the lens. then use a razor blade ( hobby knife) to trace the edge where the lens meets the metal ring thingie that holds onto it. peel off the masking tape off the metal pieces and remove the ring and the lens carefully.

7: caulk the inside of the ring . best to flood it with caulking. then press the lens into the ring. some of the caulking will squeeze out over the masking tape . then reassemble the lense, ring and the housing together. wipe off the excess caulking off the masking tape on the lens before it dries.

8: JB weld, or whatever any area you feel might be weak. i applied JB weld all over the edges and the nuts and bolts for a good solid bond. wait for it to dry (takes a long time approx 15 hours).

NOTE: best time to start working on putt those bulb sockets on the car. strip the wires, solder them. then heat shrink them. and then loom them up if not already. electric tape them up for a good water proof seal. ( you should install the foglight wiring harnesses, relay, and switch if you don't already have them on the car at this point)

9: now cualk the rest of the housing from the outside until you're sure that water won't seep in. it would be a shame to fix this problem since its a hassle taking it apart after this process. wait for it to dry ( doesnt have to be completely dry before next step approx 6 hours)

10: paint the housing with whatever color heat resistance paint you want. i screwed up and didnt used heat resistant paint. painting it will help prevent it from rusting or so i think. wait for you to dry. then peel off the masking tape on the lens.

11: your almost done. put the housings into the grill area. to get the bolts into the 2 holes on the corners, its best to jack up the car a little, go under and use your wrench from the back and a socket wrench from the front to bolt it down tight. i used 8mm bolts and nuts. 1 washer front and back for each hole.

NOTE: removing the bumper might make mounting easier.

12: turn on your newly installed lights, and aim them to your liking. see where the holes on the straight bracket ( now a 90degree bent L shaped bracket) are aligned with the vertical fins on your bumper and drill a hole there. use bolt, washers and nuts to mount it. now your all set! if your foglights arent aimed so nicely. just remove your signal lenses, stick your hand in there and with both hands, move the housing around until it aims to your liking. this should bend the brackets slightly for minor adjustments. for big adjustments, you might have to drill new holes. be sure to wear gloves and turn on your lights when you move them around like this.
