you can either
1) connect the two terminals of the clutch switch, or 2) ground the blue/black wire going into one of the relays behind and to the left of the panel beneath the steering column. Tell us about why you want to do this and we can be more detailed. If its for a remote start, there is a better way to do it than above. |

Re: (TurdBlown Teg)
I feel sorry for the day you install a remote starter and your neighbor's kid is outside one early morning picking up a ball in front of your car when the night before you didn't feel like pulling the e-brake and left the car in 1st gear and at the same moment she reaches for the ball.
BAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM you hit the start button. Man I gotta catch my breath. ninja edit: good luck with the ebay turbo. |

Search for SexiMexi's remote starter incident. LOL

Re: (Dogginator)
Funny, the OP never mentioned using a remote starter.
My clutch interlock switch went out about 75K miles ago. I just pulled the connector from the switch and jumped the connector and taped it up. No one drives my car but me, no I don't use a remote starting system, and yes, out of habbit, I still press in the clutch to this day, lol. But I do like the fact that I can reach in my car from the outside and fire it up when I am working on it. I am always conscious of the fact to leave it in nuetral and the parking brake on. If you like to smoke the crippy or drink alot, you might not want to bypass this safety feature. |
Re: (Sam92Teg)
when ur switch went, were u having trouble starting your car. ie, when your turned your key nothing happened. Because i have replaced the starter and the battery and it still does the same thing, so i was thinking that the clutch switch might be the problem.

Re: (95dc2teg)
Yes, thats what happened to me. Easy check, just pull the connector off the switch and jump it, if it starts, you found your problem.

Re: (Sam92Teg)
alright thanks i wil defiantely check it out today

Re: (95dc2teg)
yeah, there is a lil nipple type thing that is on the pedal so when you press it, it hits a lil box with a button.
That nipple broke off after I went to the track ( like the next day) so I just wired it directly. No more pressing the clutch to start.. Though, I still do. I don't want to get out of the habit. But I don't have to https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif |
