How come i can not post in for sale forum?

I am a new user and for some reason cant post a for sale ad or post in the general forum. It says i dont have permission to post there. What gives?

You are at a restricted user status in order to learn the ins and outs of the site and before you can fully utilize it. Then PM's, Classifieds, etc will become open.

30 days is the time it takes I believe, then you will automatically be upgraded.
