GSR ticking noise help
Past few days now I hear a ticking noise in my motor once I rev it or sometimes in idle it would rattle also. When driving on streets at normal speed I would hear it rattle when I switch gears or as soon I let go of the gas but when I'm on the freeway I don't hear any noises... Could this be a bent valve or need a valve adjustment? Rod knock? not to mention it was also a rebuild. Any help if you have counter this problem before. Thanks!

Re: GSR ticking noise help
It could be any number of things, without knowing exactly where the noise is coming from and what it sounds like we can only guess, a stethoscope or even a wooden dowel or long thin screw driver can be used to get a location of the "ticking".
The easiest/cheapest thing to do is a valve lash adjustment, or just check the valve lash, anybody can use a feeler gauge, if the lash is off adjust it, if your not comfortable doing it yourself, have it done by someone that knows how. 94

Hrmmm noises seems to be loud near the dizzy area... I plan on doing a valve adjustment hopefully it would solve the problem.

If you're not comfortable doing this have a shop do it. Did you recently have your timing belt replaced?
These are your cheap, easy options for possibly fixing your noise. If after this the noise persists, you'll have try to chase it down.
