front liscense plate..

front liscense plate..
The part that the bolts screw into on the front(its on the inside of the front bumper) broke when we took off the old plate.. it was all rusted and it all busted.. is there anyway to get my plate to stay on the front? Its illegal to drive without a front plate in ohio.. so i gotta get it on there some how... Any ideas? I dont really wanna havta take off the bumper.. but i will if i have to.

Put your LIscence plate in the Car's mouth. I'm not sure what year your GS-R is, but I have a 2000 GS-R and I hung my Liscence Plate inside the mouth and its tucked in very nicely...

Ahh well.. i just went to the dealer and picked up the inner parts and some new bolts... cost 15 bucs and i gotta take off my face now.. oh well... Should be good after tonight! Thanx for the ideas though..

Just go to Kragen and get a bolt and nut. Fit your hand behind the bumper and hold the nut in place while you tighten the bolt up. Easy fix. Looks stock. Thats what I did.
total cost $1.50 for the kit.

mine is just on there with zip ties
at the moment until I find a better way to mount it

i just put mine on w/ 2 way tape
and stuck some screws thru the 2 way tape so it looked like it was screwed in
after i got my ticket signed off i took the plate right back offf

Try this:
Simply center the plate, take an icepick or other sharp object to mark the center of both top bolts, take a drill or phillips screwdriver and enlarge the holes (not too much), and bolt it on with a ratchet using 10mm bolts.
