Exhaust piping?? 2.25 or 2.5 or 3.0???...

Hey all,
I plan to do a straight pipe on my teg soon and just wanted some input from people who have experienced or have done what I'm about to do.

The motor is stock with a CAI. I plan to turbo it here real soon, however before doing so, I just want to lightly mod it for NA. As far as getting the right size for my piping, would it be wise to go with a 3.0in set up right now?

I'm all about top end and don't really care to much for the low end stuff. I'd lose a lot of torque going with the 3.0in but will it really gain that much top end on a NA set up?

Thanks for your input....later!

3 inch is TOO big for a stock motor, i say u jus wait till u get your turbo system in and then get a 3 in exhaust system then, but if u still want something 4 now, then a 2.25 or 2.5 is cool.

Yea I was just thinking of getting 2.5 for now but......I'm just curious as to how much a 3.0in would really do for my top end...how much of a difference?

hhmm........any other thoughts?

wth 3in piping on a stock motor you'll have no back pressure at all...but if you plan on a turbo, then yea the 3 in will do nicely cause the bigger the piping the better. but if ure not going turbo for a while i would wait to do the exhaust until the turbo is in. if you want the noise or sumthing just do an axel-back...hope it all works out https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/acura1.gif

Yea...i think i'll wait....haha thanks for the input....

The motor is still new....10k miles only.....i'll wait a little more...
