Not getting spark...
Hi, got some problem with a 98 integra gs, the only way to get spark in the dizzy is by jumping the black/yellow cable(of the dizzy) with a positive direct from the batery. What could it be?. The engine is a b18b, stock Ecu, everything stock.

Re: Not getting spark...
I tried with both thing, ICM and a new coil, still not getting spark, the only way is by jumpin the black/yellow cable with a positive 12v.
Its not the dizzy, the problem come from outside of it.
I am not getting 12v in the black/yellow rail. The two ground the front and thermot.. are attached.

Re: Not getting spark...
Black/yellow is ign. power to coil assembly I would start at the ign. switch and work towards the distributor assembly testing for power on the ign. lead(s) when ign. switch is in run and start positions.
What is the MM&Y of the car? 94

Re: Not getting spark...
The car is 1998, should i start checking from the ignitor switch?.
The car started great this morning but now the problem came back again. i noticed i couldnt shut down the car when i plugged the 12v into the black/yellow this morning, had to disconect it...then suddenly the car worked great without jumping the dizzy with the battery.
Could it be the fuse box? or the ign switch itself, bad ground?.

Yes, test at the ign. switch harness, make sure the black/yellow, [ign. output] has 12V+ on it when ign. switch is in run and start positions... http://techauto.awardspace.com/ignitionswitch.html 94
