Rear ABS sensor
I was trying to replace my rear abs sensor and noticed that it was only held on by one bolt. My ABS light would flash a code for the sensor intermittently and it seems to be related to temperature (on when hot and off when cold). I have already cleaned the sensor and checked the resistance on the plug and it is still within spec. I think since the sensor is only held on by one bolt, the gap between the ABS ring is off and changes as the metal expands and contracts with temp. I tried to drill out the broken bolts but there is not enough room to accurately drill perpendicular to the broken bolt.
I want to know if I need to drop the entire trailing arm in order to drill and retap the holes. It would be much easier if the ABS sensor mounted to the hub and i can just replace the hub. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on the easiest way to resolve this issue.
