So the ol' Acura made me late for work today. I couldnt even leave it at home and take my truck because my truck is currently up on jackstands lol. I thought something was really wrong with the car. All i have to say is a bad battery will make your car do some really weird **** lol

get a trickle charger and make sure your alternator connections are tight. Or check if your alternator is charging.

i bought a new battery and all is well. I dont think it needs a trickle charger yet, i still drive it every day. the old battery was approaching 7 years old, and it was an autocrap battery from advance. I worked there all through out college, once those batteries hit that 5-7 year range they are done for lol

I replaced the rear wheel bearing last night that has been giving me trouble. For only 3200 miles on the bearing, i did not expect it to give me so much trouble. The race separated from the bearing and i had to cut the damn thing off the spindle. so of course with my luck, i knicked the spindle in 2 places with my cutoff wheel. Hopefully its not bad enough to do any damage to the bearing. For as new as this bearing is, it should not have taken me 3 hours to change it out. I took the truck to work today so i did not get a chance to drive it and see if it is quieter now. Also, i think its time to get rid of my 1/2" torque wrench. I set it at 134 ft lbs and the thing never clicked that i reached that amount. It was at the point i was starting to move the car off the jack. So hopefully its not over torqued now. That stupid thing is going in with my breaker bars and using it for that purpose only now. This is the second or third time i used it that it did not click letting me know that the set torque amount was reached.

on a good note, i got the best mpg i got from this car from anytime that i owned it. 34 MPG!

A little knick on the spindle won't cause any problems. But yeah, I don't think I've ever had a wheel bearing stay together while being removed on a Honda, part of the inner race always stays behind.

Its very annoying. It runs nice and smooth now, i'm glad i didng have anything to worry about with that spindle.

Got my oil analysis back from Blackstone. Seems to be pretty good, not sure what would cause the additional silicone they mention though.

I don't know if it would be coolant, they have a separate category to measure antifreeze levels.

I re-read what they wrote, i'm not sure why this didnt pop out at me before. I bet it has something to do with all of the new honda bond, we'll see what the results are next time.

I havent posted a picture of the car in a while. I took a couple quick pics as I was walking past the car. Took the car when I took my dog for a walk at a nearby park. Looks good from far and far from good right??? lol

also, quickly approaching that 4,000 mile mark since being back on the road!

Looking good man!
I feel the same way about mine... looks good from far away.

What do they charge for oil analysis and how's the turn around (time wise)?
also what oil are you using?

I used mobil one high mileage synthetic 5w30. I believe it is $28 for the analysis (there are some additional analysis options you can pay for) and from the time i sent it through the mail to when they emailed results, i think it was a little more than a week later.

I picked up some parts for something I wanted to attempt with this car at some point, but I picked these up on the cheap so I didn't want to pass up the deal. Hopefully everything is ok, from what I can tell without tearing these apart, the parts I need look to be intact. From what the ad said, these are AP1 headlights.
