Cranks, No Start. Injectors? Paypal Ready!
Problem: Cranks but no start.
The car is a 1999 Acura Integra, I swapped in a motor from a 1994 Integra.
I am using an Obd2a to Obd1 conversion harness with an Obd1 ECU ( )
Brand new Obd2 distributor
Obd2 alternator
Checked/Tested Main Relay
Charged the battery
This motor was sitting for a a year. Could this have anything to do with it?
Is it my ECU? (was working fine before)
I need this car for work and school I am PayPal ready to pay anyone who helps me solve this problem!
- Fuel Rail has pressure 20psi
- All Injectors are not spraying fuel
- Tested injectors individually all click/open.
- Tested fuel injectors electrical connections with test light. Test light lights up when cranking.
- All Injectors are not spraying fuel
- There is spark
- Timing is good

Fuel pressure is usually around 50-60 psi if everything Is right I believe.
Try disconnecting the fuel line at the fuel filter and turn the key on. If a good amount of gas comes out then your problem will lie somewhere from the fuel filter forward. (Rail, Injectors, Filter)
If nothing really comes out it's probably your fuel pump. When you turn the key on listen to see if the pump is priming. (Even if it primes it could still be bad though)
Good Luck!

My fuel pressure is fine, sorry it was not at 20psi. Fuel gets all the way to the injectors. They are just not spraying even though they are receiving a pulse.
I just swapped out the motor and am having the same issue crank no start.
Anyone have an idea?

Re: Cranks, No Start. Injectors? Paypal Ready!
Hey thanks for all the reply's everyone here is the update!
I swapped back in the old motor and I am still having this issue (when I pulled the motor it started up perfectly fine)
So now I am using an obd2 harness, ecu, and motor. No more conversion/no obd1
@Tony_2018 I will check all connections on the harness in the morning, Could it possibly be a bad ground? I double checked and triple checked the ground on the thermostat.
@drewk909 I was and still am using the obd2 harness seeing as how the obd1 had different connectors
@wunfstgsr the injectors are obd2 as well as the harness.
Can anyone send me in the right direction when it comes to diagnosing why the injectors are not firing even though they are receiving a pulse?
Could it be possible that all four injectors went bad at the same time?(I don't believe this is likely)

I unplugged my alarm and now I am getting fuel now. Still no start but I am guessing I flooded the cylinder. I will check back in tonight thanks for the help everyone.
