Default Change drain plug and washer or just the washer?

When you change your oil is it necessary to change both the plug and washer or just the washer? Also would a Honda dealer carry the washer for a 00 LS (B18B)? Knowing some of their stuff is proprietary.

just the washer (every once in a while is fine). replace the bolt if for some odd reason the bolt threads are messed up.

Would Honda carry that washer? The Acura dealer is all the way across town.

just ask for a civic crusher. some dealers give them for free, some charge 30-40 cents or so.

I'm sure most all Hondas use the same oil drain bolt (don't see why they wouldn't). I used to buy OEM Honda filters from a Honda dealer and they always gave me a drain bolt washer along with it.

just the washer needs to be changed every oil change.. u may wanna invest in one of those magnetic drain bolts otherwise.
