CEL Code 65...

I got a check engine light and checked what code the ecu was throwing out. It was a code 65. So I did a search and saw that a code 65 is secondary o2 sensor. I also found that the secondary o2 sensor's purpose is to see if the cat. conv. is functioning properly. Well, I recently had an emmissions test and passed (Illinois). Does anyone know why I might be getting this CEL and is the only way to shut it off, to "trick" it? BTW its a 98 ITR. TIA.

check your secondary o2 sensor

probably cuz yer ecu is telling you its bad.

But is there a way to see if it's bad just by looking at it?
