Default Car jerks while I'm at a stop light...why?

OK, car is a 95 Integra LS automatic. When I'm at a stop light, with my foot on the brakes, the car jerks as if I'm giving it gas, then lets off. Has this happened to anybody? It does this too when I'm driving at low rpms. I am clueless as to what this could be...electrical, tranny, etc. I have no check engine light either. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks!

sounds like a tranny issue to me, check/change the fluid see if you find any metal shavings... maybe get it power flushed.

Run the transmission fluid in and out of the transmission(one hose to drain, one to fill, and it'll run itself through. Try seafoam transmission flush then change the fluid in 100 miles

sounds like u got oil on the tranny, causing it to slip instead of hold, hence jerkin here and there.

Does the jerking happen during constant idle? or only during erritac idle & acceleration? Your engine mounts could be severly worn.

most of us here have 5 speed manual transmission and usually dont know **** about auto..... on your place i wouldnt worry about it, any way it s something with tranny and if it will die, its very easy and cheap to replace. good luck!

Yes it happens during constant idle and at low rpms when I'm driving. I will look into power flushing the tranny this weekend and see if that fixes it.

Okay, then the problem is probably within your tranny as everyone else said. My lower mounts were all worn & my car would jerk, but only during acceleration or tapping the pedal. Good luck!

THERE is no filter in a honda trany you can change. you have to rebiuld the trany to do it.

also it sounds more like the torque converter lock up is failing it's not uncommon for this to happen in automatic cars.
when you stop the force the the fluid in the torque converter drops and releases the the converter lock-up allowing the engine to turn freely as long as there is no force on the lock-up (mostly if it stuck in a gear from a failed solinoid)

if the shift solinoid was bad it would ether not go into a gear OR would not come out of a gear.

so if it's BAD and not going into gear you would see say 1st no 2nd then 3rd then 4th Or 1st 2nd NO 3rd then 4th

so from 0~17mph is 1st 18~28 is 2nd 29~38 is 3rd 39 and up is 4th

if it's bad and not going OUT of gear weather it's 3rd or 2nd the engine will stall and die when you come to a stop.

this is from the solinoid getting hot and seizing to the pintle shaft allowing the ATF to flow through and locking the gear in.
