Yes, you still do. That's still a huge increase in air coming in, you need to have it tuned no matter what.

Re: (Hatch_R)
do i just need injectors cause i have that vafc or do i need some kind of fuel management system and if i do, do you have any ideas of what i need
|
Why not try in the forced induction forum?

dont even think about boosting on the stock injectors.

Why? They're easily good for 200 and under. You could probably get someone to tune your car with the VAFC, Even though there are Much better means in tuning. Could even just use an FMU, when you're boosting that low(assuming it's a smaller turbo) It's very possible to get away with a band-aid type of fuel management like those. But in the long run, you will be much happier having it tuned with Atleast Crome. |
Re: (CleanLikeJdm)
how much and where do i get chrome

Re: (havak_35)
First you should find a tuner and make sure they are confident in tunning with crome.
Next you need a socketed OBD-I ECU. Check the sponsor marketplace, I got mine for $100. If you want that engine to last, you should ditch the VAFC. Tunning is key when it comes to your motors lifespan. |
Re: (SoTexDC2)
i have obd0

Re: (havak_35)
get a p28 ecu, then get it tuned. You will soon want more power and put in a boost controller, thus the need for bigger injectors. So get bigger injectors like some 750 cc for the future thirst and by all means get it tuned. Also get a obd-0 to obd-1 harness. You shouldn't have any problem finding this stuff on h-tech. Good luck and happy boosting. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif

your stock injectors wont push out nearly enough gas for how much extra air that your turbo will be forcing in. but i would check out the forced induction forum for all your questions. thats how i learned most of my info

This is what I think of FMU's https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif
Get your car TUNED with a program https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif |
