Ok..i'm choosing betwen 205/40/17 and 205/45/17. Would I have any proble mw/ 205/45/17 as far as rubbing the fender wall or something?

i'm using 205-40-17's on my teg and i'm rubbing a bit. i would think that 45's would rub alot more. it could also depend on the drop you have.

I think you will have rubbing with more than 1.75" in drop for 205/45/17. I personally have 205/40 and have less than a quarter inch of wheel gap on all sides with a (2"F/1.75"R) Drop.

I'm dropped 2.5F & 2.25R , and with my 205-40-17 the front rubbed a lil, like the wheel would jerk outa ur hand at slow speeds

205 40 17s will work the best. the only thing is that the ride sucks with skinny *** tires.

well, i don't slam the car. the car is like 1.25~1.5" drop now (coilover) and the reason i want to see if 45's good is because I hate 205/40/17's. My friend have it on his prelude and the road condition in jersey (new york)..i prolly will get flat like every week so 205/45/17 it is

i have the 45 series on my 17"
I chose these because of what i've seen.....
rims being dented, gettin bubbles on the tire itself
n you gotta be more careful w/ the 40's
w/ 45's u still have to be careful but its much more forgiving.

if i were you i would go 215 40 17. or if you have the room 215 45 17. Low profile tires look good but they don't hold up. You get into a skid once and the 40's are going to pop like balloons.

ok..thanx for all the advice guys. But like i said..I live in place where there are nothing but potholes (nj/ny) so 205/45/17 will be the way to go. I don't like fixing dents every other week. Plus I don't slam my car anyway
