????Auto tranny cable adjustment????
 

need some help on where to adjust just did a new swap and i dont kno how to adjust it and its all messed up like the gears are all outta wack and it never wants to go into gear so if some one can come up wit some kinda diagram or nething i would appreciate it https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

WHAT YEAR CAR?

ON MY 91, I HAD TROUBLE TOO. THE ADJUSTMENT ON IT IS A THEADED ROD WITH A DOUBLE NUT.

1. REMOVE THE CONSOLE.
2. USE A SCREWDRIVER TO POP THE CLIP OFF THAT HOLDS THE CABLE TO THE SHIFTER.
3. PUT THE TRANS IN PARK.
4. USING A BACKUP, BREAK THE NUT LOOSE.
5. PLACE SHIFETR IN PARK
6. THREAD OR UNTHREAD THE CONNECTOR ON THE END OF THE CABLE ON THE SHIFTER END UNTIL IT WILL ATTACH CORRECTLY.
7. REPLACE THE CLIP HOLDING CABLE TO SHIFTER.
8. TIGHTEN BACKUP NUT
9. BUY A MANUAL SO YOU CAN FIX IT YOURSELF QUICKLY

well i had it all apart for a motor swap lol but i cant figure out how to adjust but as of now i cant get it to shift all the way down to "2" or what ever it is the ,lowest gear , and its a 92 da sorry lol

and also that button on the side of the shifter to allow you to shift into a higher gear,well when i hit the button its completly back words and it will down shift
