Default Skunk 2 Shifter

I just got my Skunk 2 Dual Bend short throw shifter installed. The feel is great I also got new bushings as well from suspension tech. I got one question. The shifter itself wobbles while in gear. It doesnt move a lot, but it still moves. Anything i can do to solve this? Thanks.

it most likely has to do with the bushings on your shift linkage

You could try tightning the bolt tighter on the shifter or get bigger bushings.

mine did that when i had it installed, most likely the bolts at the end of it.. Are you using stock bushing or aftermarket?

That shifter bottom is the same thickness as the ones for a Civic. I wish more companies would make a shifter dedicated to Integras only, where it's wider.

So far, I think only Neuspeed makes one from what I've researched.

you can use some washers on the shift linkage so get rid of the space and tighten it up..

Yea Since I put my ES bushings in my 99 GSR the shifting is really solid but the shifter moves around a lot in gear. I would love to tighten that play up.

The Skunk2 shifter should come w/ a spacer that takes up the extra space on the bolt. That way it can be used in either Civics or Integras. The spacers that came w/ my generic short-throw weren't thick enough, so I used washers to take up the rest of the space on the bolt, and 1 lock washer to keep everything pressed together and tight, so no rattles. I've had it over 2 years and there is only maybe 1/4" side-to-side play while in gear, and ZERO rattles whatsoever. Shifts are very short and precise. Can't beat that for $40

washers and/or spacer that came with it fixes your problem. i love my S2 and you will too once it's properaly installed and tightened down...

I'd love to get an S2 shifter, but right now I can't justify $100+ when my $40 shifter performs wonderfully.
