Icon3 AIR CONDITIONER Freon leak under the dashboard??? Anyone?

Anyone have any experiance with this? I turned my AC on a few weeks ago and heard a "pshhhh" sound and what sounded like a piece of paper hitting a fan from under my dash. lasted a few minutes then went away. A/C got warmer and warmer, now its not cold at all.

Had it re-charged with Freon & the Florecent Dye, it was cold for a day, cool for a week, now its warm again. I dont see any dye under the hood though with the blacklight...

Since I did hear a sound from under the dash, is it possable I have a freon leak under the dash? Anyone have any experiance with this? Likely areas it could be leaking from? Do I have to remove the entire dash to repair?

I feel like this is going to be a huge pain in the @ss.... Help before it gets too hot!

Dang, man.
I have a similar issue... mine is cold when it wants to be... like, no joke. I've always been messing with it (not in a bad way of course) and it just... idk. lol.
My a/c might as well be my heater or somes#!t.

Thanks for the inpout, I think we have a different problem tho, mine is not really cold when it wants to be, it just kinda starts out cold after a re-charge and slowy gets warmer. It's not cold again until I recharge it again. Kinda sucks... R134a is expensive

Does anyone know if the evaporator core has any common leakage areas???????

Do you mean the connection @ the firewall? Wouldn't the UV Dye show up there if that was the problem though? I've never really heard of anyone replacing the actual evaporator though... maybe that IS it... I'll check again tonight when its dark with the blacklight

My evaporator gave out, had a leak and did the same thing your car did. I heard the leak, car smelled like freon and oil for a few minutes after I rolled the windows down. So I replaced it with a $40 unit off ebay, no problems since.
