Acura Integra Distance
So I’ve had an Acura Integra Ls for a couple months now and i’ve always done the oil change check everything but I want to know if it would last for a 14 hour drive nonstop or would the car overheat on me?

Re: Acura Integra Distance
depends if any maintenance was done besides oil changes.
my sister's db7 too her from new orleans to michigan in one go, well there were gas breaks but they were back on the road.

Yes it will, provided you do not have a blown head gasket or some other cooling issue. If you can drive it for an hour without it overheating, you can drive the other 13. I would definitely do some basic maintenance before going on a road trip though. Top off fluids, check spark plugs, tire pressure/wear, check brakes, etc.

Have you ever changed the coolant?
have you changed the transmission fluid?
how are your brakes?
tires/pressures?
do you have any current issues with the car aside from knowing pretty much nothing about the maintenance history of it?

it would be very rare for a Honda to overheat if it was properly maintained and free of mechanical issues. Highway driving is the easiest driving you can put on an engine/drivetrain.

A while back, I drove my LS swapped Civic hatch round trip from NC to MN and back with no issues. Had some shitty cheap tires and nothing happened.

Yes, I drive my 98' Integra from Portland to LA every now and then. Probably 8-9 times now in the past few months, it's a 16 hour drive (1,000 miles each way), with 2 breaks for fuel.
Check everything mentioned above (PHAT-INTEGRA's post), you'll be good. Bring extra fluids and tools.
Only issue I ran into were...
- 5th gear popped out while driving. I had two extra bottles of Honda MTF with me, looked like I was leaking at the drain bolt. Filled it back up at the VSS hole, went back on my way.
- Timing belt's teeth slipped on me. I got towed to the nearest AutoZone, and threw on a new TB/timed it in the parking lot, drove home. My fault though, my mileage was creeping up, I knew I had to change it out sooner or later.
