97 integra gas guage problem

97 integra gas guage problem
I have a problem on my 97 acura integra, were my gas guage would be at E all the time or move to F all the time, sometime it would move to the middle. i would occasionally see it move from E to F. anybody know what could be wrong here? plz help.

It could be as simple as a loose connection such as the wired plug behind your cluster, a loose plug/wire to your fuel sensor in your fuel tank or perhaps the fuel sensor or gauge itself, is there any engine light on? does the gas gauge work normally if you turn the car to on but not start it?

No check engine lights. the gas guage functions the same in on and running position. It'd move from time to time but usually just stay at below E or F.
